Predicted to become a singer on the basis of his speaking voice by a waiter serving his family at a restaurant when he was only three years old, Stephen Kyle has finally decided to embrace a dream that has consumed him since childhood. “When my mother said to me, ‘Stephen-Kyle, it seems to me that if someone wakes up singing every day, that’s what they are supposed to do,’ it finally hit me that I was fooling myself trying to do anything else but sing.” That decision led him to self-fund his debut single, a club-ready pop number entitled "You Turn Me On" (Produced by Phillip Mcfarlane/JahPhilz Productions.) He has drawn on many influences like Bob Marley, Chris Brown, Bruno Mars and Michael Jackson just to name a few. He has used them to shape his artistry and musical identity which is a complete blend/fusion of Pop,House,Reggae, RnB, Soul and Hip-Hop.

“I started performing when I was in elementary school including at major events such as awards and graduation ceremonies,” says the Jamaican native who was born on the 12th of November,1996 in the resort city of Montego Bay but grew up in the capital city of Kingston. Raised as an only child after the death of his sister when he was five years old, Stephen Kyle made her favorite song, “You are not alone,” by Michael Jackson his anthem. “I think of it as her message to me and it is still one of my favorite songs to sing when I'm a little sad”

While in high school he started taking vocal lessons at Jamaica’s premier college of the visual and performing arts and also joined  the school choir and a performing arts company that catered to children and teens. He later pursued an associate degree in the performing arts. “This training was invaluable” he says, “for in the first year of the course, I was forced to also learn dance and drama.”

Ahead of the release of his debut single, Stephen Kyle was the opening act for Sizzla, one of Jamaica’s most commercially and critically successful contemporary reggae artists, to great audience reception. Sizzla’s word to the emerging talent was “great singing…good to see the young talent come up.”  He also appeared on a Jamaican television magazine program, “Smile Jamaica,” as the performer for the morning. The singer is already making plans to release a second single, a reggae cover of the Labryinth featuring Emeli Sande hit "Beneath Your Beautiful".

“Through my music I intend to send a message that you should always do what’s in your heart to do. Someone said that ‘many people die with the music still in them,’ I refuse to be counted in that statistic and neither should anyone else regardless of their gift. I shall share my voice with the world as long as I have life in my body.”
